Some Unexpected and Tough News

Our family got some bad news this week. You can follow that story at this link, "And Sometimes the Little Things Are Big Things.". It looks like our second book will be a little different now than we have been picturing. The same God who carried us through every adventure in our first book, "Swaying in the Treetops," will carry us through this unexpected (for us) bend in the road now. We would cherish your prayers as we begin this new piece of our journey.

Adoption Did That!

National Adoption Awareness Month 2015: Survived an attempted abortion in Guatemala and born with severe brain damage and cerebral palsy. Abandoned at birth, slated to be moved to a mental institution. Adopted, and now sipping Pumpkin Spice Lattes with her Mommy and Daddy. Adoption did that!
Kathryn's is one of several stories told in, "Swaying in the Treetops: A True Story of Faith and the Fatherless." Copies will be available to buy very soon. Stay tuned.  

National Adoption Awareness Month

November is National Adoption Awareness month, and the Rosenow family regularly does presentations during this month each year. Here's a video clip of three of the children whose stories are told in "Swaying in the Treetops," during one of this year's orphan/adoption presentations. 

One Step Closer

Five years ago this month, I (Kathy) posted this on my personal FB page:

"Friday. At Starbucks, writing to the sound of the Bee Gees. Nearing the end of chapter 17, and sorting materials to start research for chapter 18."

And a week ago? Our manuscript completed the typesetting step!! We have a real ISBN# now! The next step is the printing! This actually leaves us a little ahead of schedule. Just a couple more weeks until Swaying In the Treetops will be available for purchase.

This is a photo of the children today, whose stories you will read in this book. Each one had a breathtaking journey home, and God's amazing glory has shown brightly through every one of their adventures.

It's Finally Happening

Hello all. This blog has been very quiet for a long time, but we are going live again now. Swaying in the Treetops is actually well into the publication process, and we will keep you posted on any progress here. So far, we have completed the design of our cover and back cover; chosen an author photo; moved all the way through the official editing process; and currently, the manuscript is being typeset. Also, our publisher, Xulon Press, is in the process of preparing a press release to be ready as soon as printing is completed. We are closely involved in each step, and being given the opportunity to view and approve every portion of the finished product.

On the same day we had our author photo taken, we also had a new family photo and some smaller group shots done. Below is a family photo showing our still-at-home children. And also a shot of our adopted children whose stories are told in this first book.
